1. What is iBUILD?

The iBUILD mobile application for customers is a citizen-to-citizen (C2C) housing market disruption tool that empowers people to build, reversing their housing plight through small-scale construction based on individual need.

 

2. How do I get iBUILD?

iBUILD is available on the play store and all you need is an android or IOS phone compatible with the app. Tap on the play store icon, tap the search bar and search for iBUILD, select the iBUILD icon and select install. After the complete installation, tap open and start using.

 

3. What services does iBUILD offer?

iBUILD provides digital housing support services. A customer can:

  • find lenders to finance his/her home project

  • access building plans from certified architects

  • get quotes from contractors w/reviews and hire them to do the project

  • track construction progress and pay the contractor through the app

  • locate material suppliers

 

4. Who can use iBUILD?

iBUILD is open to anyone looking for a qualified contractor to construct their home, looking for lenders to finance their home project and also a platform that will manage and track the construction progress.

 

5. How much does it cost to use iBUILD?

iBUILD is a free mobile app that will be available on Google Play Store and Apple Store for users to download.

 

6. Can I use my phone to run iBUILD?

iBUILD supports android 4.0 and higher versions and soon supporting IOS platform.

 

7. What is One Time Password (OTP)?

It is a unique 6-character One Time Password code that can only be used once to verify iBUILD account and is sent to your registered mobile number.  The iBUILD user is required to enter the correct OTP code to verify their account and complete the login process.

 

8. What if I don't receive an OTP within 5 minutes?

If you do not receive your OTP within 5 minutes, you can request for another OTP by clicking the “Resend OTP” option.

 

9. Why do I have to have an email in order to use iBuild?

For successful registration with iBUILD, a user is required to have an email address. The email address acts a secondary recovery option to changing your password. The customer can also receive reports and statements regarding their account through their email addresses. Any promotion, offer or marketing information is also communicated through the email address.

 

10. How do I login to use iBUILD?

  1. Open iBUILD app and select role; “Customer” or “Contractor”

  2. Select country code from dropdown menu

  3. Enter mobile phone number

  4. Enter pin

  5. Select “Keep me logged in” (optional)

  6. Click sign in

 

11. How do I recover a forgotten password?

  1. Open iBUILD app

  2. Click “Forgot Password”

  3. Select “Role”

  4. Enter registered email address

  5. Select country code and enter mobile phone number

  6. click next to reset your password

 

12. How do I create a project?

16. Do I have to be connected to the internet to use iBUILD?

To access the iBUILD app, you must be connected to the internet (2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi). Additional charges my apply for data usage from your phone or internet service provider.  In some countries there are USSD/SMS versions of iBUILD available to those without data or smart phone access.

 

17. Is iBUILD secure and safe to use?

iBUILD app was designed with security top of mind. Once you install and activate the app, you can deposit into the e-wallet and your money is safe. Treat your Remote PIN like you do your bank card PIN – never share it with anyone. Remember that no one will be able to access your accounts using the app if they do an unauthorized SIM swap on your cell phone number because the app is linked to your cell phone.

What is the IBUILD Supplier Module App?

IBUILD Supplier Module is a digital app targeting the construction industry with the aim of directly connecting clients with building material suppliers.

Where can I find it?

The IBUILD Supplier Module app is available for free on Google Play Store for Android smart phones. AGENTS

How do I become a sales agent?

To become a sales agent, simply download the IBUILD Supplier Module App to your phone from Google Play Store on the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=global.ibuild Or from our website https://www.ibuild.global/

As an agent you will help hardwares/building material suppliers to register their businesses. Remember you need to use your own phone register the hardware so that you can qualify for the payment.

How do I register hardwares and suppliers?

Once you download the app, go to the menu button, you’ll see “REGISTER HARDWARE”, Click on it and follow the instructions. The business will need to have at least Kshs 500/= ready in their MPESA account. You’ll need to include details such as hardware name, location, telephone contacts, email (Optional), list of materials available… etc.

How do I get paid?

With each business registered, Kshs 150/= is automatically added to your digital wallet on the app. You can then redeem the payment directly to your phone and withdraw the hard cash in any of the mobile money agents countrywide. After that you can register as many or as few as you want. Remember the more you register, the more you earn.

SUPPLIERS & HARDWARES

How do I register my hardware?

Simply download the IBUILD Supplier Module App from Google Play Store to your smart phone. Go to menu – Click on Register Hardware – and follow the instructions. You will need to have at least Kshs. 500/= in your MPESA for the registration to be successful.

How do I benefit from registering my hardware?

When you register your business on the IBUILD Supplier Module App, you become visible to clients all over Kenya and beyond. A client can locate you at the touch of a button without having to visit your shop. As a supplier you will be able to communicate directly with your clients and therefore give them good prices.

How do I get payment for my materials using the App?

You get paid as soon as you supply the materials. First the client contacts you by sending you an RFQ (Request for Quotation) which is within the App.In the RFQ you will know what the customer wants based on the following 3 parameters:-

a) Material required (Sand, Cement, Timber etc.)

b) Quantity required (30 Tons, 20 bags, 100 Feet etc.)

c) Site location

You will then respond to the RFQ by inserting the prices having considered:-

a) Material required (Sand, Cement, Timber etc.)

b) Quantity required (30 Tons, 20 bags, 100 Feet etc.)

c) Site location

The client will get your reply as a quotation. The client will then pay as per your quote and you will be then expected to supply as soon as payment is received. Therefore there is no risk of the supplier not getting paid for any goods delivered.

CLIENTS

How do I benefit from IBUILD?

You no longer have to go from hardware to hardware, quarry to timber yard, to find what you’re looking for. Simply download the IBUILD App and search for the materials you’re looking for directly from the suppliers that have them. Get real time quotations from the suppliers and pay conveniently using your phone. The client will also be able to get receipts for items such as quarry stone, timber etc. all in one place and be able to keep track of the total cost of the construction.

How can I ensure security in my transactions?

We use an escrow account within the App and your money is only released once you confirm that you have safe custody of the materials. By using our App; your money is safe. Using the escrow account also assures the suppliers that the client has already paid and based on that; they will be willing to deliver materials very quickly. Should any dispute arise between you and the supplier, the money will be retained until the dispute is resolved.

Can I send RFQ’s to more than 1 supplier?

Yes. You can send a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to more than 1 supplier and this allows you to compares prices easily. After you search for the product you need and the results are displayed; click on the “Show List” tab on the left bottom Tab and the various suppliers offering the product are displayed. Click on the “Get Quote” tab on any of them and request for a quote. After submitting request to the first supplier the rest of the suppliers will still be displayed and all you need to do is to click on the “Send” tab located next to each supplier.

Can I send RFQ’s for more than 1 product?

Yes. You can send a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for many products but only to the same supplier. After you search for the product you need and the results are displayed; click on the “Show List” tab on the left and the various suppliers offering the product are displayed. Click on the name or image of any of the suppliers and the details of the supplier will be displayed. Click on the “Products” tab and the list of all the materials that the supplier has will be listed. Select all the products you need from this supplier and once done, click on the “Get Quotation” tab at the bottom. The supplier will the respond by sending you back the prices of all the materials requested.

Can I send RFQ’s for multiple products to more than 1 supplier at the same time?

No. Currently this cannot be done. You can either:-

1) Send an RFQ (Request for Quotation) to one supplier for 1 product.

2) Send an RFQ to one supplier for many products.

3) Send RFQ’s to many suppliers for one product.
